Our next evening event celebrates those lovely few days we experienced a couple of weeks ago when the sun shone, we felt the warmth of the sun on our backs, the coats and scarves came off and the t shirts were clad and, in my case, pale white arms showing, the birds sang and we all felt a spring in our step! It was brief and it was a bit of a tease, but it inspired me enough to bite at Spring for our next evening event!
Spring is one of my favourite times of year as it is full of anticipation, all the new growth is showing and from a ‘Cheffy’ point of view there is a whole new range of fruit and veg impending in the markets and grown locally- now that’s exciting!!!
As you can see below I have written a menu that reflects April with slight influences of Easter, Mother’s day and of course Spring thyme!
Mini devilled tartlets filled with quail’s eggs, asparagus
Dorset blue vinny, pear and walnut palmiers
Chicken goujons with a garlic and fresh herb dip
Soft goats cheese and spring vegetable galette
Garlic and herb roasted leg of lamb
Spring Roasted chicken with sumac, za’atar and lemon
Crab Mac n’ cheese with crispy smoky au gratin topping
Green Spring vegetable medley of
Purple sprouting broccoli, petits pois, broad beans, asparagus, kale, cress and butterhead lettuce.
Cheesy rainbow root vegetable gratin
‘Love-all-the-thyme’ roasted potato chips
Piquant new potatoes with red onions, capers and parsley
Margot’s Easter lemon curd, cream and meringue mess
Chocolate tart with golden eggs
Hot X Bun and butter pudding

You are welcome to bring your own alcohol on the evening, we simply charge £1 per person to cover glass washing and bottle disposal.
We do ask that soft drinks are strictly purchased from our café, we do have a lovely varied selection available for you to choose from.

We are happy to hold provisional tables for 24 hours whilst you muster your friends together to form a table before you make payment, just get in touch and we will reserve your table until we hear back from you.

Thyme after time's Italian Job!
After our successful Chinese thyme evening we are now thinking towards our March event. As you can see from the title we are turning Italian style this time!
Eve and I (Margot) have been working on the menu and feeling pretty excited about cooking up this one!
This event will take place on Friday, 15th March @ 7pm.
